Hi there!  So glad you stopped by.  

In case you’re wondering what this place is all about, pour yourself a cup of tea (coffee, wine, or juice), pull up a chair, and I’ll open up a bit.

I’ve pretty much always been interested in health and fitness and all things natural.  I have to admit though, I did have a slight detour in high school while working at McDonalds (yes, that’s right, McDonalds).  It was my first real paying job and it was at a time when America was really accelerating into the fast food craze, and speed, convenience, and low cost were everything.  I admit, I got caught up in the craze as well - a little too much so - to the tune of putting on about 10-15 pounds in just a few short months!

Wow!  That was a lot of weight, especially considering I wasn’t really eating much more - it was just all of those free cheeseburgers, fries, and shakes I got as a perk for working there.  Same amount of food, just different quality, and look at the effect.  Hmmm… That really got my attention!

I finally quit my McDonalds job, and devised a plan to lose the weight.  I started counting calories - you could even say I became obsessed with counting calories - and I mean every single calorie that went into my mouth - including a piece of gum or a bite of a cracker (BTW, don’t count calories, folks, that’s an out-dated, not well rounded strategy).  The good news:  I lost the weight to the point of my pre-McDonalds days - and then some.  The bad news: I kept going, to see how much weight I could lose - almost going down the path of, dare I say, an eating/image disorder.  Back to some  good news: a couple of friends and some unseen Force, were looking out for me, and thankfully, I got back on track, and let go of the obsession with counting calories and my weight.  It’s like I just decided one day, that was enough, and I’ve never looked back.

That experience, along with the fascination with how the body works, how the mind works, and how the two of them work together, really drove me to study these areas, and to read and listen to anything I could get my hands on that would give me a better understanding of these areas and how I could create and implement strategies so I could live a life of absolute health and passion, and I could help others do the same.  

And here’s a really important part I must include: My dad told me that life is like a puzzle, and as we go through life, we keep looking for pieces of the puzzle that fit into the big picture:  The Puzzle of Life.  But the tricky part was, that we never get to complete the puzzle - to find that last piece - until the day we die.  And, then it all comes together and makes total sense.  Being the rebel and fighter that I am, I didn’t want to settle for that.  I wanted to find all of the pieces and see the whole puzzle, while I was still alive, so I can live my life to the fullest and so I can share everything I know with as many people as possible.  So I continued my journey, searching for more pieces of this puzzle - trying to figure out the “secrets” behind living a life of health and passion.  

This is what fuels me every single day:  waking up and trying to discover new pieces to this puzzle.  And I have found that when I keep things natural and work with the natural order of things rather than against them, I find many more pieces of the puzzle.

So my journey has taken me to some really exciting and, some may say, strange places, and I absolutely love it!!  It is incredibly fun for me to figure out ways that I can be the healthiest I can possibly be and to live my life to the fullest.  Sure, there have been bumps along this road, but those have served as tremendous learning opportunities (and I do love to learn!).  

Over the years I have learned a ton about quantum physics, nutrition, alternative healing, essential oils, herbs, food, organic farming, soil nutrition, energy medicine, heart centered living, and animals (currently we have 6 horses, 2 dogs, and 3 cats, and numerous other animals that come in and out of our life that we rescue and find homes for).  I’ve trained to be a B.E.S.T. practitioner (Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique), as well as a certified Reiki practitioner, a certified Health Coach, and love to combine my knowledge about food and oils and healing to help others regain their health and vitality, so they can also live a life of health and passion.  

So, to make a long story short (or long), this “space”, Natural Life Foundation, provides me the platform to share everything I’ve learned and continue to learn, to connect with other like-minded individuals, and to inspire and empower those who stop by to take back their health and to live a life of amazing health and passion!  Stop by any time, sit down with a cup of  “cheer” (you pick), say hello, and join the conversation.
