Well, I know Lakota is feeling pretty good. The other day, we were out in his pasture looking for his shoe that fell off (we have shoes on his back feet with a lift so they are at a bit of an angle to relieve some of the pressure/tension from the fetlock joint). He and Comanche (his pasture buddy) were following us around for a bit – being very curious. Then the flies started bothering them and they trotted off, and Lakota had a beautiful, lifted, extended trot going.
Then, a couple of days ago, Missy (our dog) was chasing Lakota and Comanche up and down the fence line just before feeding time (one of her favorite things to do). Lakota turned to the fence and kicked out at it (fortunately he didn’t get Missy – more of a warning). I knew he must be feeling like he can move better in order to do that, as haven’t seen him do that in a long time.
So, here’s what I’ve been doing. Every day I give him the Hekla Lava and ARR homeopathic remedies. I’m at about every 2-3 days now, that I put the Lemongrass and RC essential oils on that joint and tendon (I was doing it more frequently), and I top it off with the Dynamite Wound Salve. I also do energy work on that area and balance him out, energetically, throughout is whole body about twice a week.
This past Saturday, I went into the pasture to give him his remedies, and I noticed he had some kind of scab on that joint (about the size of a dime). Wasn’t sure what it was from, but I cleaned it out with hydrogen peroxide, put Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) essential oil on and covered with Would Salve. One of the ways the body detoxifies, is through the skin. Could this be the calcium deposits breaking up and leaving the body???? That’s the story I’m going with... We’ll keep an eye on it and keep you posted.
I’m also posting pictures of his hind legs – a rear view which I recently took, along with pictures of his legs from the side – taken a while back. I’ll continue to share his progress with you through pictures as well.
Ciao for now!
